Julie McCormack

Sunset Family Resource Collaborative Director

Julie came to SNBC with experience working closely with community-based programs and government agencies providing direct and administrative services on behalf of youth with extensive needs.  After receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she worked in the research department for a program in San Diego providing developmental and behavioral assessments to young children in foster care.  A few years later she went back to school to obtain a master’s degree in social work as well as a juris doctor degree.  While completing graduate school she worked for the Public Defender’s Office of Children’s Counsel advocating for youth’s legal and educational, rights, and for Child Welfare Services working directly with youth.

As the Director of the Sunset Family Resource Collaborative, Julie works collaboratively with public and private agencies and families to deliver coordinated services through the Sunset Family Resource Collaborative.  Julie works to ensure the continuation of the Resource Collaborative by efficiently leveraging and streamlining the resources and services of the agencies that comprise the collaborative.  Additionally, she monitors outcomes and evaluations of services and communicates findings to all members of the Resource Collaborative.
