
Kyle Giocomo
Kyle first began working with the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center in 2005 as a program leader before becoming the Program Coordinator for the after-school program at Ulloa Elementary in 2007. Kyle grew up in the scorching deserts of Arizona and moved to California to complete his M.A. in English with a concentration in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. He found his passion for teaching and working with youth after a two-year stint teaching English to elementary and junior high kids in rural Japan. Kyle is proud to be a part of the unique and linguisticly diverse community of parents, students, and faculty at Ulloa Elementary. Ulloa is a Title I Academic Achievment School with a philosophy of guiding students to become lifelong joyful learners. Kyle’s hobbies include kayaking, baking bread, and riding his bicycle.
