Patrick Montgomery
Patrick joined SNBC as the Evening Program Coordinator in the fall of 2009. He is working to help strengthen and grow the already robust evening program offerings at A.P. Giannini Middle School. As someone who is always studying and learning something new, Patrick appreciates the opportunity to provide programming that allows Sunset residents to learn new things and connect with other community members.
A student of Linguistics and Cultural Anthropology, California-born Patrick has also lived extensively throughout East Asia including Macau, Hong Kong, China, and Japan and is fluent in Japanese. His professional background includes producing the 5-hour bilingual radio program “Japanese Street Beat,” which garnered acclaim as one of the only FM broadcasts in the world showcasing independent Japanese Hip Hop; being a professional photographer and artist in Tokyo; and working as the Teen Coordinator at the Downtown Berkeley YMCA.
Patrick enjoys photography, mixed-media animation, cooking, fishing, reading and translation, and has an unhealthy amount of knowledge of video games and pop culture at large.
