Together we offer Chinese Arts and Crafts Classes in the Sunset neighborhood. </span><span><span>Class content includes Chinese origami and knotting. </span></span>

More than 500 youth lined Sunset Boulevard during rush hour on October 16 to express their love for afterschool programs.  When “Helmet”, the mascot of sponsor PG&amp;E, showed up to motivate participants and encourage support, the enthusiastic honking of passing motorists went up several decibels.

Safety Network, David Chan of SAFE, Captain Chignell, and Supervisor Carmen Chu put together the 2nd ever police and community entirely in the Chinese langague. Representatives of the MUNI Transit Effectiveness Project spoke about proposed changes to MUNI route lines. Sunset Scavenger explained what goes in the green, blue, and black waste bins. The community room at the Taraval Police Station was again packed with over 50 Chinese-speaking community members attending. Thank you all for your participation and support.

Organized by the Safety Network, this first ever Taraval Police and Community Meeting held in Chinese on February 27, 2008 was a great success. Over 60 Chinese-speaking residents attended the meeting along with Captain Chignell, Supervisor Carmen Chu, David Chan of SAFE, and other community leaders.
