Save the Date: SNBC's 8th Annual Community Film Festival

Mark your calendars for SNBC's 8th Annual Community Film Festival, coming up on Friday, February 24th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Ulloa Elementary School. As in past years, the Film Festival will feature family-friendly films ranging in length from 30 seconds to 8 minutes. Film Festival guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film; the film receiving the most votes will win the "People's Choice Award."

We hope you can join us for a night of movies, popcorn, and refreshments!

When: Friday, February 24, 2012, 7:00-9:00 PM

Where: Ulloa Elementary School Auditorium
(2650 42nd Ave at Vicente St)

Cost: FREE! Donations are welcome.

Going on now: Registration for Winter Session of Adult Evening Classes

From December 12th - December 16th, SNBC will be accepting sign-ups for the Winter Session of our FREE Adult Evening Classes. Winter classes will begin the week of January 9th and go until March 9th.

Winter classes include a Beginning Watercolor Painting class, a drop-in Intermediate Level ESL conversation class, two different Yoga classes, a Blogging class, Digital Art, Drawing, Knitting, Internet use, and more!

Stop by SNBC's office (3925 Noriega Street) between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm from December 12th to December 16th to register. Because of the high demand for classes, all students will be chosen by lottery. Class lists will be posted at SNBC on December 28th.

Start the new year off right with SNBC's Winter Session of Computer Classes

Basic Computers
Making Digital Music
Knitting with YouTube

Starting Monday, August 29, SNBC will be accepting sign-ups for the fall session of our free Adult Evening Classes. Fall classes begin September 19 and go through November 18th.

Fall classes include ESL Conversation, Social Dance, Yoga, Blogging for Beginners, and more! Stop by SNBC's office (3925 Noriega Street) between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm from August 29 to September 2 to register. Because of the high demand for classes, all students will be chosen by lottery. Join SNBC for a block party and free BBQ to celebrate community and public safety! We're closing down the block between 46th and 47th Avenues and will be filling the street with free food, games, and youth performances.

Other fun activities include:
-Performances by SNBC's West Sunset Rec Connect Steel Pan Drummers and Hip-Hop Club
-Music by SNBC's DJ Club
-Meet and Greet with the SF Police Department and Fire Department
-Firetruck and police car on display
-Free fingerprinting by the Police Athletic League Cadets
-Free information on disaster preparedness from the Red Cross
-Booths featuring local merchants and Noriega Street businesses
