SNBC's After School Learning Program at Robert Louis Stevenson is excited to begin on the first day of school, August 25, 2008. The After School Learning Program serves students at Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary in 2nd-5th grades from 2:40-5:40 pm, Monday-Friday. Presently, we have 120 students enrolled for the 2008-2009 school year, and students interested but not enrolled can apply to be on the waitlist.
Each day, students participate in a variety of activities, including:
- Working on homework and receiving academic support from qualified teachers
- Boost literacy skills in our After School Reading Program
- Enrolling in clubs of their choice on Tuesdays and Thursdays, including creative writing, arts and crafts, sports and recreation, and hip-hop dance
- Learn about science and nature, and get to meet live reptiles in the Tree Frog Treks Science Enrichment Program. To learn more, check out their website at www.treefrogtreks.com.
