Sunset Elementary School
The Afterschool Learning Program (ASLP) at Sunset Elementary School began in January 2003. The ASLP is currently serving over 100 students a year, from grades 2 to 5. Priority is given to students who need extra support in literacy and a number of places are reserved for English Language Learners.
Students attend the program every day from 2:40 to 5:40pm. The ASLP provides academic support and an enrichment program based on the principles of youth development.
We have seven hard-working Program Instructors who provide both the academic and enrichment opportunities. A Lead Teacher from Sunset Elementary School works with the ASLP to align with the California Academic Standards.

3:00pm: Homework Support with lead Program Instructor
