BAMboozled.org
Location(s)
BAMboozled.org is a platform for us to explore, create, and express ourselves without having to worry about boundaries or censorship. Our goal is to present you, our readers, with a realistic glimpse into the many workings of our lives. We are here to write and share, which hopefully can inspire our readers to do the same. We don't attempt to disprove stereotypes, wage war against mainstream media, or revolutionize your perception of teenagers (though we hope you like us); we simply bring you what we know and feel. Our hive congregates at the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center in San Francisco. We are also on MySpace and Facebook. If you enjoy our articles, please leave a comment or contact us directly and let us know!

WHAT WE'RE UP TO
- Bamboozled is currently made up of 8 authors, 1 webmaster, 2 youth facilitators and an editor, who meet each week at the Beacon office.
- We regularly have new authors joining us as our writers get older and graduate, leaving us for college endeavors. Over the last 10 years, the Bamboozled authors have written over 300 articles, reviews, poems and personal stories and at one time our message boards held over 3000 posts from 350+ teens around the world!
- Previously we've had projects, such as writing contests and a feature where the youth answered reader's questions ("BAM Answers Your Tough Questions"), and our in the process of getting our Artist of the Month feature back online again, where we feature art from teens both within and beyond our group.
- In 2007 Bamboozled we put on an event at
Bazaar Cafe. Every author selected an article they had written (ranging from stories to poetry) & read it aloud to a packed room! - Whenever one of our youth is in a play, we all take a field trip as a group and go support them.
- At every meeting we have yummy snacks and drinks, as we sit around a table and check-in, catching each other up on what we've been up to the week between our meeting. Once and awhile, we will meet at a cafe, library or go out for pizza and/or bowling as a group, too!
