Class Descriptions

Art Computers for Kids
Mon & Wed 4 – 5pm
These classes are for elementary school students who are interested in exploring the learning fun of using computers. Students will improve their computer knowledge and basic skills through creative projects. (Open to 2nd - 5th graders.)

Computers for Kids
Tues & Thurs 4 – 5pm
Students will face greater demands for computer skills in the years to come. This class will complete fun projects using computers to research, execute, document, and present science. (Open to 2nd – 5th graders.)

Reading Writing & Arithmetic
Mon – Thurs between 3 & 4pm
Many of our brightest youth have trouble with academic basics. This class uses a computer program to train youth on the basics for their skill level, tracks progress, and moves them towards mastery of skills by increments of grade level. Parents: contact us if interested and we’ll work with his/her counselor to make sure it’s a good fit. Students need only stay for 30 min each day. (Open to 4th-8th graders; continues until SFUSD summer break.)

Basic Computer Class
Mon & Wed 2 – 3pm or Mon & Thurs 11am – 12pm
For the beginning adults or those who would like to brush up on their basic computer skills. We’ll cover word processing, surfing the Internet, email, and more to help our users become more comfortable exploring independently. (The morning class is slower paced.)

Intermediate Computer Class
Tues & Thurs 2 – 3pm
Computer fun and learning for alumni of past adult classes, and those who feel pretty technically savvy.
